In light of the widespread discussions surrounding AI (Artificial Intelligence) in today’s world, it is widely recognized that this technology holds significant potential for driving economic and societal benefits. AI has demonstrated its ability to enhance prediction processes, optimize operational efficiency, allocate resources effectively, and personalize services, among other advantages. However, it is also a subject of intense debate that AI introduces new risks and negative consequences that affect both individuals and society as a whole.
Our esteemed partner, the Hamburg Network for AI & Law (NAIL), is deeply committed to addressing the regulatory challenges associated with AI. Through extensive research, thoughtful discussions, and proactive outreach efforts, NAIL endeavors to comprehensively examine the multifaceted issues surrounding AI regulation. By cultivating a collaborative environment, NAIL aims to develop well-informed policies and guidelines that strike a delicate balance between harnessing the benefits of AI and mitigating potential risks, thus ensuring its responsible and sustainable deployment.
We are thrilled to announce that NAIL will be organizing an event titled „Human in the Loop – Legal Tech as a Team Member in a Global Law Firm.“ Distinguished speakers, Dr. Gerrit M. Beckhaus, LL.M. (Yale), and Christina Valdini, LL.M. (King’s College, London), who are partners and principal associates at Freshfields Bruckhaus, will deliver insightful lectures at Bucerius Law School on the 12th of June. Following the lectures and discussions, there will be a relaxed evening gathering in the south lounge, where participants can enjoy pretzels and wine. We warmly welcome both in-person and online attendance at this event!
